Mallorca Opens Its Doors to the Sports Travel Community

Sports & Events Türkiye 2026 in Antalya marked the debut of the format’s first regional edition. From May 31 to June 3, 120 participants from 27 countries — 49 international buyers and 45 Turkish suppliers — took part in 1,136 pre-scheduled 1-to-1 meetings, confirming the international market’s appetite for Türkiye as a destination for sports events, training camps and active incentives. With the Nirvana Cosmopolitan Hotel as its home base, the four-day programme blended business with hands-on discovery of the destination: golf at Gloria Golf Club, cycling in Serik, river canoeing in Belek, technical visits to stadiums and training pitches, a tour of Antalya’s Old Town and a farewell gala on the terrace of Regnum The Crown. Backed by a five-year agreement with its official partners, the edition laid the foundations for Türkiye’s long-term growth as a sports tourism hub.
